One of the most unexpectedly joyful parts of the curriculum was the photography module. I didn’t enter the course thinking much about photography, but the photography classes were something I looked forward to in February. There was something grounding about stepping out of the classroom and holding a camera.
Our photo walks were the real highlight. We visited Qutub Minar and Lodhi Garden. But they looked completely different when I had a camera in hand. Light and shadow, once overlooked, suddenly became what I noticed first. It made me look closer, not just at monuments, but at the everyday.
More than anything, these classes taught me how to observe. Photography wasn’t just about clicking a button. It was about being present. It gave me space to pause and see stories in the smallest details
